The vacuum system allows different levels of immobilization
- The more rigid helps the right positioning of the patient while softer ones mitigate the low frequency vibrations typically found on emergency vehicles during transport
The combination of the longitudinal chambers with the structure of the multi-layered wooden lower part, confers to Nexus important anti-shrinkage properties
Nexus is lightweight and can be stored in small spaces
Thanks to the wooden support, the mattress can be transported by just two rescuers without compromising the stabilisation of the patient
Patient can be transported in an inclined position when adequately secured
The two lower and upper chambers are made with a special nylon material coated with poly-vinyl
The lower support part is very resistant to avoid undesired scratches and guarantees a good grip
The on/off valve made of chromed brass with a built-in fitting for rubber tube is resistant to any temperature FOR unlimited duration

For 2/3 of the length of the Nexus, in the hollow space between the two nylon-coated sheets, Nexus is stiffened with a light but rigid marine multi-layered panel, which contributes to achieve effective anti-shrinkage
